The required workload for fellows, including live content delivery, should be no more than four hours per week.

The application to create a course with Terra.do requires the following:
- Your full name
- Your email address
- Your LinkedIn profile or your personal URL (optional)
- Will the course be co-created with someone else?
- If yes:
- The co-creator’s full name
- The co-creator’s email address
- Upload the co-creator’s resume
- Your resume (upload file)
- An outline of your course that includes the following (see example below)
- A title
- A brief description (300 words max) of the course
- The intended professional audience (list 3-4 specific roles)
- 3-4 specific skills fellows will learn by the end of the course
- Examples of skills framings used by other course creators:
- For knowledge-related learning: students will be able to “understand,” “evaluate,” or “compare” x, y, and z.
- For task-related learning: students will be able to “analyze,” “build,” “measure,” or “communicate” a, b, and c.
- Ideally, your course will include both knowledge and tasks-related learning.
- A brief description (100 words max) of one real-world assignment or project you would assign
- In 250 words or less, tell us why you would be awesome at teaching this course
- When are you available to start teaching
Example of a course outline:
Title: Carbon Accounting and Reduction
Brief description of the course: This course will review climate basics for business. You’ll learn the terminology of carbon accounting and how to measure and report carbon emissions using the GHG Protocol Corporate Accounting and Reporting Standard. You will explore strategies for setting corporate carbon reduction goals and targets to create an achievable climate action plan. You will walk away from the course with an understanding of how climate change impacts businesses and what measures they can take to mitigate risk. You will also build a strong network of peers and leaders in the space.
The intended professional audience:
- Sustainability managers: learn how to integrate carbon accounting and reporting into your work
- Business students: understand the carbon management that is increasingly required of businesses
- Management consultants: gain insights to integrate carbon consulting into your work
- Impact investors: review the carbon accounting behind climate-responsible investments
3-4 specific skills fellows will learn by the end of the course
- Carbon accounting: tools and best practices for measuring GHG emissions
- Life cycle assessment: gain insights into scope 3 complexities
- Science-based targets: programs and options for ambitious climate goals using the SBTi framework
- Carbon footprint reduction strategies: what is a net zero strategy, and how can it be implemented
A brief description (100 words max) of one real-world assignment you would assign
You are the Sustainability Director for ______________ (choose a company that has clearly reported emissions that you can use for a baseline year). Create a work plan and detail how you will achieve a science-based target, based on baseline reporting. Deliverable: 10-15 slides and a presentation of the results.
