Discover your unique place in climate work

A 5-week, first-of-its-kind experience of exploration and discovery to foster clarity, courage, and connection for your climate journey. The course will be facilitated by Dr. Katharine Wilkinson of The All We Can Save Project. While this course doesn’t have a complete course syllabus, you can read more about the program structure and content below.

Who is this program for?

This 5-week program is for everyone holding questions about their place in climate work and/or seeking deeper contributions. It’s open to people from all backgrounds, disciplines and career stages who are looking to gain clarity on their climate journeys.

This course will be helpful for folks who are entering into climate work, have been in climate work but are feeling stuck, or are looking to deepen their sense of purpose and contribution. We think it will be especially suited to those looking to unpack their deeper motivations and gain focus and clarity in an affirming community.

So many people are grappling with the question ‘what can I do?’ There is no simple formula, no fact sheet or checklist, for figuring out our roles in the vital work to forge a just, livable future. Rather than stipulating actions that are one-and-done or one-size-fits-all, this course is tailor made to help us uncover ways to be of use. Together, we’ll hold our questions about climate and purpose, and work our way into answers.” —Dr. Katharine Wilkinson, Course Creator

How is the program structured?

During the duration of the 5-week program, ~25 selected program participants will attend a 2-hour live session, facilitated by Dr. Wilkinson, each week. In between live sessions, participants will be asked to complete between 1-3 hours of work (e.g. read articles/poems/essays; complete series of reflection prompts). All participants will be invited to a slack community to engage in deeper connection throughout the program.

The course is designed to be highly participatory and interactive. Each live session will begin with welcome music and a grounding poem, and will contain some combination of the following elements: opening circle prompts, visualizations, meditations, free-writing exercises, surveys, sharing in trios, whole-group sharing, and closing circle prompts.

Overview of Sessions:

Week 3: Skills & Superpowers

We’ll reflect on the skills and superpowers we (can) bring to climate work, reflecting on personal insights both past and present

Week 4: ****Context & Community

We’ll consider the contexts we’re nested within and communities we’re a part of (or could be), with attention to what feels kindred to us.
